The excitement started as the players ran out of the tunnel to pumping music before taking their places on the first team pitch. With a large crowd gathered both pitchside and on the veranda, the atmosphere was fantastic and created a real sense of occasion for the boys. For many, it was their first experience of playing under lights in front of such a big crowd and it is safe to say it will be a highlight of the season.

Across all three age groups the teams did Old Grammarians proud. The rugby on show reflected the hard work being put in at training, with plenty of strong running, good support play and excellent teamwork. More importantly, the players embraced the moment and played with real enjoyment and energy.

It was wonderful to see the squads encouraging each other and representing the club so well throughout the evening. A big thank you to Wanstead RFC for hosting such a well organised event and providing a brilliant experience for our young players.

A fantastic night of rugby and one that will live long in the memory for players, coaches and supporters alike.
