For the second week running good work in the first half was quickly undone by a slow start to the second half. OGs started well, building a 10 point lead with a penalty by Raihan and a try by Adam converted by Raihan. Verulamians fought back to score just before half time and ran in 3 unanswered scores after half time to take a 10-26 lead. A red card for a trip reduced Verulamians to 14 and OGs were able to regain the initiative. Tries by Jace and Chris saw the deficit cut to 22-26 and it was game on. Poor game management then allowed Verulamians back into the game and despite being a man down they scored a converted try and a penalty to take a 22-36 lead. To their credit, OGs did not give up, and Alex's last minute try converted by Raihan earned two bonus points.
