All new players are guaranteed a warm welcome to our U6s!

At this age, it’s all about having fun, making friends and enjoying rugby, while learning some of the basics of the game including catching, passing and running.

Sessions usually start with a fun warm-up before moving on to games and activities designed to build confidence and develop those all-important rugby skills. We’ll practise catching, running and passing, often in small groups, with parents encouraged to get involved and join in too!

Games such as Bird’s Nest, Tag Alley and tackle bag activities keep everyone moving and learning without it ever feeling too serious.

And of course, we always like to finish with a game of Bulldog, with the parents becoming "the catchers”, followed by our traditional tunnel where everyone gets clapped off at the end of the session.

Everything we do is built around England Rugby’s core values of Teamwork, Respect, Enjoyment, Discipline and Sportsmanship – TREDS.
